In the new release. The Book of Times, author Lesley Alderman claims that on a Monday morning, it takes a woman one hour and 16 minutes to get dresses, while on a Friday, it takes her a mere 19 minutes. Where do those minutes go? On a Monday, the average woman spends 19 minutes getting showered, 23 minutes on her hair, 18 minutes on her makeup and 16 minutes getting dressed. Contrast that to a Friday when she spends 10 minutes showering, 6 minutes on her hair, 2 minutes on her makeup and one getting dressed.
I personally think these results sound a little fishy. I'm willing to grant that the average woman takes a longer shower on Monday, after all, it is hard to wake up after a weekend. And maybe everyone is listening to my advice about styling her hair once a week and then refreshing it quickly on a daily basis. BUT, Friday night is still a traditional happy hour day, when a woman very likely could be heading out for drinks after work. That means, she'll spend more than two minutes on her makeup and definitely more than one minute getting dressed.
