I was recently honored to participate in the Don't Shop video by the Style Coalition. Thirteen fashion bloggers, including yours truly, got together to film this video, a take off of the celeb "Don't Vote" video that came out last fall. Our twist is on the importance of shopping. My friend Lauren from Second City Style says it best, "Yes, the days of conspicuous consumption may be over (at least for the time being), but that doesn't mean you shouldn't invest in your favorite designer handbag or an investment piece you will wear for years to come and possibly pass on to your daughter."
We're not suggesting anyone go out there and max out their credit cards, but it's still important to show your style, support your favorite designers and if nothing else, there are some killer deals out there right now. Don't miss out!
