Nighttime Styling Tip, Courtesy of Beauty Blogging Junkie

Wednesday July 8, 2009

One of my favorite fellow beauty bloggers is Amber, from Beauty Blogging Junkie. I checked in with her for her favorite time-saving hair tip. I'll be trying this out myself the next time I wash my hair!

"Instead of wasting time using a curling iron after blowing out my hair to achieve a soft wave, I employ an idea I got from my stylist, Matthew James at Sam Brocato Salon. He suggests wrapping your hair in a coiled bun all the way on top of your head (in a most Pebbles Flinstone manner) before you go to sleep. I tuck the ends underneath the bun secure it with a small jaw clip around the part where the hair is tucked. In the morning, shake your hair like Tawny Kitaen in a Whitesnake video and get obsessed with your new wavy 'do. With a little humidity, your waves will last until your next shampoo--no hairspray or heat tools necessary. This tip works best on hair that is naturally wavy or curly."

Ok, this is kind of weird but I just ran across this YouTube video: Tick Tock Kesha

It’s a girl who calls herself Ke$ha (Yes that’s Keisha with a dollar sign lol) But she’s got this music video called Tic Toc and the lyrics and song are hilarious. It’s kind of catchy actually. At one point she mentions something like “I brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack…” obviously has a drinking problem. Either way watch it and let me know how you like it. Like it or hate it?

…And is it weird that I like it? :-)
